James Carson Breckinridge was an American politician who served as a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from Kentucky from 1985 to 1993. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky in 1944 and attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a degree in economics. Before entering politics, Breckinridge worked in the banking industry and served as the president of the Kentucky Bankers Association. During his time in Congress, he focused on issues related to banking, financial services, and small businesses. After leaving Congress, Breckinridge continued to work in the financial industry and served on the board of directors for several companies. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 58.
